Red Bank Limo - Operator of the year shares success strategies

PR Log (Press Release) – Feb 26, 2010 – Limousine & Chartered Tours Magazine -  Operator of the Year winner Bill Atkins offers some points on the old adage: It costs far more to get a new customer than to keep one you already have. In today’s climate, customer retention is the key to success.
RED BANK, N.J. — Here's a few tips that you can use:
1) Respond to emails within 15 minutes: In the immediate world that we live in people expect you to be there and answer right away. Ever call a repair man only to have no call back? Frustrated customers don't call back.
2) Surprise them with the unexpected. Call two customers each day. Not your biggest or best, just 2 random customers. Tell then you have no agenda or looking to sell anything and let them know "I just called to see how you are doing?". Then listen. Remember, this is not a sales call. Do you think your customer will remember that call and tell some of their friends?
3) Walk and talk like a pro: People like doing business with professionals. Every interaction is an ongoing interview where the customer is judging you and seeing if you are consistent. Be the authority in your area. Not in an obnoxious way, but rather confident and well informed.
4) Give to your local community: Be known as the person and company that gives back to your community. It's amazing, but if you give some, you will get a lot in return.
5) End every conversation with the two words "Thank you." We are a service business. Never forget to let your customers and employees know that you really appreciate them and tell them so. With so few businesses remembering these two words, you will really stand out.
You need to do a great job first before you can expect a referral. Otherwise you haven't yet earned the right to ask for a referral.
Bill Atkins is the owner of Red Bank Limo in Red Bank, N.J., and the 2010 LCT Operator Of The Year  www.redbanklimo.com Red Bank Limo is a four time winner of The National Safety Excellence Award.

From 'Full-To-Empty' to 'Full-To-Full' - Car rental company changes refuel settlement

PR Log (Press Release) – Feb 25, 2010 – Filling up and ripping off – for a long time, this was the credo of many Southern European rental car agencies. But now, at least one car hire in Spain changed the refuelling regulation 'full-to-empty' that sparked indignation with many customers. The hired car supplier Solmar does now offer a fair refuelling settlement that resembles the one most British car hires use: The car is picked up and dropped off with a full tank.
The otherwise popular regulation 'full-to-empty' supplies customers with a rental car that is filled up. For this service, suppliers demand an overpriced fee that ranges, depending on the car type, between 50€ and 90€ per filling which usually is twice or triple the normal price. The rental car can be dropped with an empty tank, but the usually contained heel will not be reimbursed. The loss of expenses is large and evokes annoyance on the customers’ part with good reason.
Therefore, carhiremarket.com sought for a change of this obscure refuel settlement and ran in open doors at the supplier Solmar. The new settlement can be seen by customers of carhiremarket.com at a glance – which is advantageous as customers know immediately which refuelling regulation and which resulting fees have to be faced. In the end, this will influence the customer’s choice in car rentals.

PR Log (Press Release) – Feb 20, 2010 – International Freight Forwarding is a vital component of the Global Economy, http://myUSpostoffice.com is now offering International Freight Forwarding services worldwide, freight forwarding services from any port in the USA to over 200 countries worldwide.
Customers who are looking for one stop shopping for all their freight forwarding needs, packaging and shipping, can now use http://myuspostoffice.com to meet all their needs while staying on budget.
"we serve over 200 destination countries via a wide Network of Air and Ocean carriers, small packages are usually forwarded via FedEx, DHL, US Post office while large shipments are usually moved via Air or Ocean Cargo in crates, 20 or 40 foot containers and skids. Our Staff will monitor your shipment and assist you with all your freight forwarding needs and export documentations" Stated Mr Bechat during the grand opening ceremony in Boston MA USA on February 2010.
Freight  forwarding is a service used by companies that deal in international or multi-national import and export. While the freight forwarder doesn't actually move the freight  itself, it acts as an intermediary between the client and various transportation services. Sending products from one international destination to another can involve a multitude of carriers, requirements and legalities. A freight forwarding service handles the considerable logistics of this task for the client, relieving what would otherwise be a formidable burden.
Our Freight  forwarding services guarantee that products will get to the proper destination by an agreed upon date, and in good condition.  Our freight  forwarding service utilizes established relationships with carriers of all kinds, from air freighters and trucking companies, to rail freighters and ocean liners. Freight forwarding services negotiate the best possible price to move the product along the most economical route by working out various bids and choosing the one that best balances speed, cost and reliability.
Some of the many advantages of using our freight forwarding is that we handle ancillary services that are a part of the international shipping business: Insurance and customs documentation and clearance are some examples. We provide documentation, bills of lading, warehousing, risk assessment and management.

Car Hire Companies are Hit Hard by the Toyota Recall Debacle

PR Log (Press Release) – Feb 16, 2010 – Toyota is the largest manufacturer of automobiles in the world and their recall of 8 million cars is the biggest such event that has every happened. Almost 200,000 cars are being recalled in the UK alone, due to faulty accelerators, failing breaks and steering problems. Decode Car Hire Limited http://www.decodecarhire.co.uk , one of the UK’s leading internet rental car reservation websites, had to cancel some orders made by customers that booked one of the defective vehicles.
The UK managing director for Toyota, Miguel Fonseca, was optimistic and sympathetic in his statements and set a goal for completing the recall in 8 weeks or less. Fonseca also said, “We are committed to accomplishing this safety recall as quickly as possible.” The work does not stop there however. After all of the defective models are recalled from the rental car companies and from the consumers, they will need to be fixed. Toyota service garages are working overtime to complete the repair work fast. What is unknown is how well the cars will perform after they are revamped.
The Toyota company has reported the total cost of the needed repairs will be almost 1 billion pounds and that will go along with the projected 700 million pounds of lost sales for the first quarter of 2010. The setbacks will more than offset the 1.1 billion pounds of profit the company reported in the final quarter of 2009. The problems will intensify after the car hire companies remove all of the inadequate vehicles from their fleets. The Avis-Budget group reported they will pull over 20,000 cars off the road. The Hertz company, which is even bigger than Avis-Budget is projected to remove around 25,000 cars in the coming weeks.
In the United States, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration publicized they will commence an investigation that focuses on the new Prius models. Because the Prius is the most popular hybrid car in the United States, the authorities are going to closely scrutinize and monitor the current and repaired automobiles. There have already been 21 deaths attributed to the defects in the United States alone since January 27, 2010.
In the UK, nearly 40,000 Prius models were recently sold, but none of the owners filed formal complaints about braking malfunctions. But there are still 200,000 other cars that will need to be recalled. For owners of the recalled cars, they will be compensated, but the car hire customers will feel a trickledown effect in the price of rental cars this year. Actually, it will be more like a waterfall effect.

If so many of these new models need to be removed from the car hire company fleets, there will be a shortage of cars this year. It might even carry into 2011. Car hire consumers travelling to the United States, and southern Europe will feel the effects the greatest. In a year of an already short supplied car hire industry, this disaster could not have come at a worse time. Be ready to pay higher prices for car hire all over the world this year, but especially in those tourist hot spots.

CDL truck jobs Are you looking?

PR Log (Press Release) – Feb 07, 2010 – Here at Edgeolite.com we will try to help you negotiate through the Bull S*#@*, why because we were truckers and blue collar people from the grass roots of the industry. OK Let’s get a good understanding on how trucking jobs work. First of all are you willing to go over the road? If not you need to look at local companies and maybe just drive a straight truck. If you go over the road the pay is better but you are away from your family more. Another question, Do you want to own a truck or work for some body? Did you just get your license or have you had it?
If you want to have your own truck you should get a lease contract under another company first. In today’s times you do not want to buy a truck and have to find work. A lease contract with another company will get you working sooner with out going out and finding work. The trucking company usually will help you with insurance, authority and paper work needed to get you going. However, like anything else it is not free. They usually take between 20-30% of your gross. But you will be working with out having to find work.
Now, If you just started the easiest part of the industry to get a job in is the freight industry. Mainly because it is less hazardous Then liquids or hazmat. The companies figure as long as you can drive the truck you should be fine. Most of the beginning work is what they call drop and hook. The bottom line to this is if you just started it will be hard to get into a job at a company that has to do with drivers that need a lot of experience with certain equipment to un load, like dry bulk ,plastic, propane. But less risky cargo will be easier for you to get your foot in the door to get started so focus more on calling those companies for work. We at edgeolite.com will be coming out with more article on this subject with weeks to come and
If you like you can copies of this information by filling out the form on this blog.
